NotchLC renders fastest from Adobe Media Encoder than it does to render from After Efects or Premiere.Â
Make sure Video Output > Depth is set to Trillions of Colors
NotchLC is effectively a 10bit codec, to make the most of this your project files should be set to 16bit depth or higher.
In most projects we will be using an notchlc.notch.one/ for playback. As such, your working space should also be set to sRGB. In After Effects, leaving the "Working Color Space" set to the defualt of "None" is fine, as this will export in sRGB.
We will always ask for Straight (unmatted) Alpha. When setting up a new NotchLC outpot module in After Effects the "Color" field will default to "Premultiplied (Matted)". Be sure to set this to "Straight (Unmatted)".
You should always default to using Optimal quality.
In circumstances where playback performance, storage space, or content transfer speeds are a concern we may want to use a lower quality level.
